C57

57-00“I just don’t want to disappoint that pile of unknown person’s ash” …oh…this isn’t that scene; but it’s the usual course of “Jean’s internal struggle”. (Hm…wonder if they’ll wear their SL uniform ever again, with what’s happening in the story.) There are casualties this chapter.

With the casualties this chapter, once again I am really worry about the Levi squad’s 104ths. Now with that speech of Jean, I think many will say that’s huge death flags for the three “normals”. Then next chapter is the end of a volume, so it’s likely something big might happen? It’s also interesting to see how Jean really represents the voice of the normals in the team. He’s really the swing vote in any decision. Get him on your side, then the others will come along as well. Armin’s trying to encourage(? ) Jean; wonder if that’d work. Mikasa’s comment, will it hit resonance with J.S.C.? Oh, but then she just has to get to Jean anyways. lol.
If someone has to die to push these teens into killing people, who would that be? No one wants their favourites to be killed off (of course! ). Hope Jean will be alright… (well others also) With how this chapter ended, is there a possibility that Levi might die in the hands of his “sensei”? I think it’d be nice if the 104ths will come to rescue. Maybe they’d go into hiding afterwards and regroup.
Hange’s theory has been mentioned before on forums, so it’s not that much of a surprise to me.
Jean blends in quite well into crowds. He’s the one who looks least like a kid within the pack – maybe that’s the reason. Others will probably be too obvious. Now that they are in Stohess, will we see those characters from volume 8? Perhaps Marlo will come into play; although if they do, they need to face the risk of being blown off (literally).

I saw someone mentioned this:

torn between wanting him to being more included in the overall plot, or wanting him to survive. lol

considering the recruits were nowhere near Levi’s team at that scene ; although I still thinks one from the normal trio might die sooner than him in the story…

@Railing Plebeian It’d take big guts from Isayama to pull that off though – merchandises are mostly all Levi, Eren, and Mikasa (with Armin getting the tag-along treatment) = their immense popularity.
