Now that you’ve seen this image, you’d know the answer to one of the many question asked during last month’s chapter 60. Thank you Isayama for at least giving Jean some boost in confidence on his role and purpose in the team. A lot of dialogue bubbles this chapter. I think it’d feel much faster when this is animated.
1 month 2 weeks and 7 ? days ; time stands still, no change from last chapter’s.
(Mr. K.) Panels count: 5
Synopsis of chapter: They were preparing for Erwin's execution. Then came Pixis, and Nile. The government fell after a game of bluff set up with the cooperation of Pixis. SL is clear of all charges; that message delivered by Hange, who was one of those three cloaked figures. Elsewhere some sort of ritual is about to commence.

That was one quick coup. It went nearly bloodless expect for the ambush at Stohess. That could have been avoided, but then Levi did manage to cut down some of the cMP forces. Now the government has been disbanded, so is the cMP. What will this mean to Kenny? Sure he no longer has weapons and underlings at his disposal, at least not as accessible.
I am happy how this turns out over at Levi’s squad of course. Was really hoping for Jean’s instinct about Marlo and Hitch be right. Glad Isayama gives this shining moment to him. That 58 was probably a low point for Jean; definitely disappointed with himself as shown in 59 – now Isayama not screwing up Jean’s “redemption” attempt, bravo. Would have been terrible for Jean if one or both of those MPs are spies or betrays the team immediately. With the two MPs not-betraying the team, Jean has actually made some trustworthy teammates (well, I think we can be sure on Marlo, Hitch can still be a wildcard, but, shall cross fingers for that). The fact he put himself in vulnerable situation in 59 has earned the trust. Risky as it was, he knew what he was doing (as opposed to how some who think he was just being an idiot).
random observation: how he used to be probably the most disliked amongst his classmates, he is now Mr. Everyone’s Friend – what a progress.
Those team celebrating panels indeed have the “calm before the storm” feel to them. Interesting how Sasha commented at the end of chapter 51 – now they have another happy moment here, although Eren and Historia is missing from the team. So yeah, worrying continues. Well…unless they switch focus away from Levi squad for next chapter. Do I want that? Maybe I do, the team needs some much needed rest; but then they are tight on time…hmm…
Tired, thus the fragment-ness of this block of text.
Can you believe one volume ago (4 chapters), was when that ambush on Levi squad started, with faces being blown off and such?
