More answers this chapter – if we are to assume what we are reading is the truth, and not some lies; but, Isayama still has three chapters more in this volume to clear up some tangled mysteries. Oh, and Kenny has became a semi-comic relief.
1 month 2 weeks and 7 ? days ; well at least from the looks of some panels, we can assume it’s night time of the same day…
(Mr. K.) Panels count: 6 (everyone on the team gets to say a line or two)
Synopsis of chapter: (According to Mr. Reiss,) Grisha is the big bad and murdered his family, which he stole the "power" after killing and consuming Historia's half-sister. We learn (from Mikasa, who learned from her parents probably) that the Ackermans were being driven off to the outer settlements. Meanwhile, Zackly seems to be enjoying being the torturer, and Erwin is leading a team to retrieve Eren and Historia.
Eren doesn’t do anything in this chapter – maybe aside from whatever he’s doing in that last panel. Historia has shown to be as easily manipulate-able as people had expected. Well yea, she has her own reason of course, being in such fragile mental state. Too bad they did not do a through background check of the cadet candidates huh. Although it’s true they have considered her special status and was planning to utilise that to their (SL’s ) advantage in the “war”. Maybe they shouldn’t have let her join the military in the first place? But who knew, right?
As with every chapters, discussion is on for who might die in upcoming chapters; I think, base on this chapter alone, Historia and Erwin are probable, and maybe some kids in the squad other than Mikasa and Armin. Oh please Isayama don’t use Jean to do the “I just couldn’t do it (killing someone)” thing again.
If Historia is to be turned into a titan, someone will have to stop her.Interesting how this was mentioned back in chapter 52. Back when I read that, I would’ve thought it will be something that involves the Beast titan turning into mindless titans. That’s right, where is he by the way?
There might/can be a reason to believe that neither the Reiss or Yeager are the bad guys? After all, it’s pretty certain there are more than two factions in the story.
